Gather Gift Fund

Gather’s in-app Gift Fund allows guests to make cash contributions towards a fund of your choice directly to your bank account or payment app. It will be available to all guests within their personal Guest Area.

Gather does not handle your money, making the service entirely safe and secure. We do however track guest pledges and collect gift messages, so you can see who has contributed what and write thank you notes accordingly.

To set up your Gift Fund, go to Gifting in the main menu.

• Select the Your Gift Fund tab at the top.
• Give your Gift Fund a Title, like ‘Honeymoon Fund’.
• Add an Introduction message to guests, explaining your plans.
• Upload an image (optional).
• Click Save and continue.

Next, you’ll be able to add your chosen payment method; bank account details for a transfer or a link to a payment service such as PayPal, Monzo or Venmo.

• Add your Bank account details as directed.
• Choose the Currency in which you would like to receive contributions.
• Some fields are optional; you only need to add details necessary for your country.
• You can also add a payment link if required.
• Click Save.

You’ll now see a preview of your Gift Fund.

• Important: Check that all of the payment details and links are correct.
• When you’re happy, click Finish.

To view guest contributions and gift messages, simply return to the Gifting section from the main menu. You can also download a summary of contributions and messages once your account is activated.
