Collecting guest contact details.
Our Contact Collector allows guests to add their details directly to your guest list by following a link shared across platforms such as Email, Text, WhatsApp or Messenger.
Contact Collector is free to use and available before you pay to activate your account.
After following the link, guests are asked to enter their first and last name. If they’re on your guest list, we’ll invite them to share their email address, phone number and, if requested by you, their postal address.
Note: Guests must be on your guest list in order to access Gather.
To set up Contact Collector…
- Go to Guest list from the main menu, click Manage guests and then the Collect contact details button.
- If you would like to Collect postal addresses for printed invitations, check the box.
- Enter a welcome message to guests. This will be displayed when they arrive to enter their contact details along with the Welcome image added in the Guest Area section.
- You can add any message you wish, including a request to Save the Date. Your message can be changed at any time.
- Once you’re happy with your message, click Save.
- You’re now ready to use Contact Collector.
To share Contact Collector from your phone…
- Click the Collect contact details button on your Guest list or within an individual guest’s details.
- Click the Share link with guests button.
- This will open the share sheet on your phone.
- You can now choose how you wish to share the link and with whom.
- You can share the link as often as you wish.
To share your Contact Collector from desktop...
- Click the Collect contact details button on your Guest list.
- Click the copy icon.
- You can now paste the link into an email or any other platform.
When guests follow the link and add their contact details, your Guest list will update automatically. We'll notify you by email and, if selected, WhatsApp. See how to enable WhatsApp notifications here.
